The Victorian PICA’s were held last night at the Royce Hotel, on St Kilda Road Melbourne.
120 Print Industry professionals gathered in the Royce Ballroom, under chandeliers to celebrate the achievements of all the medal winners. Matthew Schembri, Finance Manager of the PIAA opened the event with a warm welcome.
Presenting partner Media Super representative Stephen Assimo was on hand to announce the 2 finalists from Victoria who will now go on to the National Stage in the Media Super Young executive of the year award – Christina Condos from multiple PICA award winning Labelhouse and Lisa Schumacher from Print 2 Metal wishing them both well at the National Print Awards in August.
The prestigious event provided printers, and visual communications artists with the opportunity to celebrate the exceptional standard of Victorian Print, with many commenting warmly on the both the high standard of the entries and winners – as well as the exceptional work of the PIAA team.
Jacobena Mills, National Events Manager for the PIAA, as well as other team members were thanked and congratulated throughout the nights proceedings.
At the end of the formal festivities – all attendees, winners, and supporters decamped to the bar downstairs to finish the night with a celebration of hard work, high standards and incredible works produced by Victoria.

52 medals were awarded in total, with the 24 Gold medal winning companies now advancing up to the Media Super National Print Awards, in August.
