Printing Industries Association of Australia is thrilled to announce the appointment of John Georgantzakos from Spotpress in New South Wales to the Board of Directors, and thanks Matt Aitken for years of service and industry leadership, as he announces his retirement from the Board.
2018 continues to be a transformational year for the Printing Industries Association of Australia, following on from a year of delivering valuable member services in the areas of workplace relations, government lobbying, events and Sustainable Green Print. We are looking to the future as a commercially sustainable association that delivers quantifiable value to members.
John will commence as a member of the board on June 1, 2018.
Andrew Macaulay says, “John’s appointment represents an exciting generational change in our board. His extensive experience in design and promoting print brings extended capability to our already comprehensive board composition. John is engaged with the membership and will provide a valuable fresh perspective as we invigorate our association’s governance”.
John Georgantzakos says, “As a generational member of the industry, I have seen significant changes and the resulting transformation is exciting and encouraging. Joining the board is a wonderful opportunity to promote print and the industry in all of its forms.”
Macaulay says, “We would like to formally acknowledge the contribution that Matt has made to the board, and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Matt has played a pivotal role in turning the organisation around and has made significant contributions to leadership within the industry having served as Deputy President for the PIAA Board of directors. As the industry moves forward, Matt has been instrumental in seeking generational transfer in leadership, and has assisted in the succession planning for the representative from New South Wales.
Andrew Macaulay, CEO of Printing Industries, says, “Our industry is stronger due to decisions made by Matt Aitken. On behalf of the print sector I thank Matt for all that he has done and IVE Group for their support in allowing Matt to contribute his time for the betterment of the industry.”
